Tradition

The artisan ice cream is the result of a centuries-old history. The use of ice cream as a food characterizes the history of humankind since ancient times, from the world-wide ice-cream cellars, various sorbets, to the gastronomic delights that we now know as ice cream. With the awareness of their own identity and a memorable knowledge, the artisan ice cream makers have been working for over 37 yearsYears of dedication to offer a product that is the result of constant confrontation and exchange of knowledge as well as constant innovation and creativity. They have always characterized the history of ice cream.

First ice cream parlor

20 years of passion dedicated to the customer always offering the best in the first Italian ice cream parlor.

Brazil

In 2013, the adventure of Fabio and his wife Olga begins overseas, opening the first ice cream parlor in the famous San Paolo and, the following year, the second in Santos.

Germany

In 2019, the Puddu family moved to Germany and brought all the Italian tradition and craftsmanship, with Brazilian joy in Velbert.

History...

"Italian tradition since 1982"

Fabio Puddu began his career in 1982 in a renowned ice cream shop in Sardinia.
He learned the secrets of good ice, prepared it and passionately measured all the ingredients with passion. After 10 years he gained the necessary experience to start his first ice cream parlor " Bottega del Gelato "in Montagnana (Padua, Italy).
There he devotes 20 years of his life and delights the palate of the whole country.
Its ice is so good that it is rewarded with cups, titles and the front page of the local newspaper.
In 2013, the Puddu family moved to Brazil, where they opened the first ice cream parlor on the other side of the ocean in the beautiful city of San Paolo, just a stone's throw from the sea.
With "Primo Amore"It offers its customers, who appreciate the taste and the imagination of the product, which has been reworked with fresh ingredients and fruits of the region in the pure Brazilian style, the quality" Made in Italy "of a true artisanal ice cream.
And given the success that Fabio and Olga found, they decided the following year, the second headquarters in Santos "Il Gelato"and always devoted a lot of love and passion to their work, paying special attention to the freshness of the products used.
Due to political instability in Brazil, the Puddu family decides to move to Germany in 2017.
Here they take the opportunity to take a little break and visit places in this beautiful country.
